Says for driving, but it wont accept a point placement on an interstate. Would actually work for my job if it could do that.

Is this app really this bad? It does not use freeways! I drag the waypoints to the fwy, and it takes me miles out of the way.

I was looking for something where I can plan out where I would be walking through many streets. Im able to plant as many points as I want, but as a bonus...it tracks distance, it shows individual parcels, and has a convenient way of using street view. This app is very easy to use.

This is an easy to use route planner. Make sure your default transportation (foot, bike, car) is selected, then tap and plan. This has replaced Map My Run for me. I can plan my walking route or figure out how far Ive just gone. Its simple and fast.

Would be perfect if it had gps nav to guide you through the driving route you made. It would be my goto app for driving trips. I love making my own route but i cant keep looking at the phone to make sure im on the route. Needs a 3d turn by turn mode

This app is excellent. It does exactly what I need it to do - plan my route before my run.

This is a one-of-a-kind app and it is very close to being outstanding. I drive road rallies with the various sports car clubs in the area. They provide a route, you drive it. It works, but following printed directions is awful, and it can be hard to know when you’ve made a wrong turn. So I was very excited about NewRoute. Every other nav app I have tried wants to give you a route to take. NewRoute lets you define your route. That is what I’m after. It is a good app, but it needs a few things to be excellent. First, the screen shuts off if you don’t poke it every now and again. Taking my attention off the road to wake up the phone (and punch in a pass code) is not very safe. I usually have a navigator, but still, this isn’t a feature, and it should be easy to change. Also, the app should give a warning about a turn coming up. That would let me keep my focus on the road. Waze does this, so I know it is possible. Letting you know when you’ve left the route would also be a very useful feature. Lots of driving clubs will be all over this if these changes go in.

I love this app! The other apps I have for planning my walking routes dont automatically follow the road, requiring much more input. This app is quick and easy to use with easy to read results. Highly recommend this app!

This app is awesome I have been using this and its previous for a couple of years. I am a runner so its a great way to get creative and plan routes or find new ones in case I travel to a place Im not familiar with. The UI is very simple and easy to use just touch and follow! I wish they could put iCloud integration to save the routes so they are available in other devices it backed up.

Exactly what I was looking for and it was free. Thank you! Only suggestion would be adding an option to go off of a path/road. Other than that it is perfect!

I used to use gped to plan my cycling routes. It was good but limited. New Route ROCKS! I can plan and save as many rides as I want. I can group them. Change a ride from one group to another. Order them by length. EMAIL the route I am riding to my wife in case of a safety or injury concern. Dont we all hate that dreaded question "where are you riding?" Just send them the route! They never really listen to the details of your answer anyway.

Its exactly what it needs to be. Perfect for planning walks, bike rides, etc.

A very useful app for running and cycling. I would be willing to give it five stars with two minor additions. First would be iCloud integration so my maps would be saved in the cloud and easily accessible on all my iOS devices (emailing is a work around for this but its kind of a pain). Second would be having the option for a landscape mode for creating and viewing maps.

So glad they fixed the scrolling issue. This has always been my favorite app for plotting out my walking and running courses. Love this app!

Ive been looking for a route-planner for my runs forever and Im sick of digging through the health apps. On this one you can edit routes too which is nice. Thanks!

Perfect for finding routes for running. Nice clean design.

This is excellent for planning specific distance routes ahead of time. Way easier than any of the major GPS watch brand websites to plan routes. Its also a perfect companion to Apple Watch for the times you dont want to take your phone which leaves you with no GPS. I just plot the route before or after my run to confirm the distance and enter it into my run tracker app.
